Dr. David Saum
Dr. Saum is the Clinic Director. Having practiced for 42 years, his primary objective now is to direct the Clinic Doctors and to help them if they get “stumped” on a particular case. The Clinic specializes in back, neck, and extremity problems. Chiropractors are unparalled in their knowledge of the back and neck. Chiropractic treatment offers you hands-on, effective treatments which can help to relieve your back, neck and extremity problems. Chiropractic treatments do not include surgery or medications, which means, you will be offered alternatives which are noninvasive, hands-on and effective. Our Clinic treats with a special instrument called an “Activator” which is a low force, high-speed, accurate, instrument and method to correct the involved conditions. With this method there is no “snapping” or “cracking” as with the traditional style of treatment. Dr. Saum has been trained in many different methods of treatment over the past 40 years and prides his office with being on the “cutting edge” of advanced treatment methods. Dr. Saum is a member of the Mississippi Chiropractic Association. Outside of the Clinic he enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife of 42 years, Inez, and spoiling their 4 grandchildren.

Dr. Shana Sullivan
Dr. Sullivan has worked at Saum Chiropractic since 2006. She was raised in New Mexico until her family relocated to Louisiana where she graduated from high school.
Dr. Sullivan attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she studied microbiology and nutrition. In 2005, she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College in South Carolina.
She is Advanced Proficiency Rated in the Activator Method since 2003. Before joining Saum Chiropractic Clinic, Dr. Sullivan worked for Activator Methods Headquarters where she served as College Coordinator and assisted in the development of the company’s seminar curriculum.
She briefly returned to work in the New Orleans area prior to Katrina. However she was forced to evacuate and both the practice she worked for and Dr. Sullivan’s home were lost in the hurricane.
Dr. Sullivan has now called Columbus home for the past 5 years. Since moving to Columbus, Dr. Sullivan has become very active in the community. She currently serves as Board President of the Link’d Young Professionals and is an active member of the East Columbus Lions Club. She is also a 2011 graduate of Leadership Lowndes County through the Columbus Lowndes Development LINK and is a member of the Mississippi Chiropractic Association. Dr. Sullivan also volunteers her time with multiple other charity and civic organizations.

Dr. Jeremy Pokorney
Dr. Jerry Pokorney joined Saum Chiropractic Clinic in August 2011. After practicing in Central Florida for a year and a half, he began missing the southern hospitality he had grown accustomed to when living in Marietta, GA while he attended Life University. He moved to Mississippi with his wife, Tram, and two cats, Waffles and Gravy. He looks forward to helping the citizens of the Golden Triangle experience true healthcare through chiropractic.

Inez
Inez, also known as the “Doctor’s wife” is our longest employee having worked in the clinic since its inception. An R.N. by training, her education and compassion for people are invaluable to the clinic. Ms. Inez is the “Clinic Administrator” and as such does a bit of “everything”. If she doesn’t have the answer, she’ll find out!

Misty
Misty is our Assistant Office Manager and has been with the clinic for over 10 years. As the “Front Desk Chiropractic Assistant” she controls the clinic patient flow, makes appointments, collects money, and answers the phone. Her wonderful cheery attitude and vibrant voice is usually your first contact with the clinic by phone.
The second “hat” Misty wears is the head of our “Insurance Department”. She is extremely knowledgeable on the different insurances and their policies. Misty is happily married with three children to help keep her from getting “bored“ at home and is active in her community and childrens' school.

Sarah
Sarah has been a valued member of our staff for nearly 3 years now. She has been trained for both the front desk and back office positions. She assists the Doctors with exams and x-rays. A 2008 high school graduate, her vivacious personality and loving, caring attitude makes her a favorite with all the patients she comes in contact with. Her attention to detail and ability to adapt quickly make her a great asset to our Clinic.

Mary
Mary's introduction to our office was as a patient in 1989. After realizing the value chiropractic had in her own life, she began working here in 1991. While not working full time since then, she has worked off and on for several years. Over the past several years, she has witnessed the difference regular visits can have on a person's health and well-being. Mary currently works in a "where needed" position. Her husband of 18 years, Mike has also received health benefits through regular chiropractic treatment.
